# List Enrollments

GET https://api.vitablehealth.com/v1/members/{member_id}/enrollments

Lists a member's benefit enrollments across every employer — benefit type and product, employer, carrier, plan, tier, employee deduction, employer contribution and total premium, the individual enrollment coverage boundary (`coverage_end`), the separate pre-effective cancellation boundary (`cancelled_date`), and the distinct benefit plan-year boundary (`plan_year_coverage_end`) used to determine whether the plan year itself has ended, the date the enrollment record was created (`issued_date`, the value Ops labels Issued on, reported for every row whatever the member answered), the window the member could answer in -- which never opens before the enrollment was issued, so a row issued mid-open-enrollment starts its window on its issue date -- whether a qualifying life event would currently be required for reissue under the product/open-enrollment rule, enrollment/open-enrollment window, and two statuses: `election_status` (what the member answered) and `policy_status` (what became of their coverage, null unless they enrolled). Every row includes a stable enrollment ID and the exact employer and benefit plan-year IDs used to fetch that row's plan-year detail. The full list is returned across all states so the client derives active plans (effective and upcoming) and the enrollment history from those per-row statuses. For an organization caller the rows are scoped to companies in that organization's book; a member (self/household) or Vitable Admin sees all enrollments. A member not visible to the caller returns a 404.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — API Key or Access Token authentication using Bearer token in Authorization header. API keys use the vit_apk_ prefix, access tokens use the vit_at_ prefix.

## Servers

- `https://api.vitablehealth.com` (Production, default)

## Request

### Path parameters

### Headers

- `X-Vitable-Organization` (string, optional) — Organization to act as for this request (e.g. `org_SGVsbG8gV29ybGQ`). Optional when your credentials reach a single organization. Required when they reach several — omitting it then returns 400 `organization_required`. A malformed value returns 400 `invalid_organization_header`, and naming an organization you do not have access to returns 403 `organization_access_denied`.

## Types

### MemberEnrollment

Wire serializer for :class:`MemberEnrollmentDTO` (one benefit enrollment row).

- `id` (string, required) — Opaque, stable enrollment identifier used to target enrollment actions
- `employer_id` (string, required) — Exact employer identifier for this enrollment
- `benefit_plan_year_id` (string, required) — Exact benefit plan-year identifier for this enrollment
- `benefit_type` (enum, required) — High-level benefit grouping (e.g., Medical, Dental) * `Medical` - Medical * `Dental` - Dental * `Vision` - Vision * `Hospital` - Hospital
  - Allowed values: `Medical`, `Dental`, `Vision`, `Hospital`
- `product_code` (enum, required) — The benefit product this enrollment is for * `EBA` - Eba Mec * `VPC` - Vpc Enhanced * `VPC_CORE` - Vpc Core * `MEC` - Vpc Mec * `MEC2` - Mec2 * `MEC_PLUS` - Mec Plus * `MVP` - Mvp * `MVP2` - Mvp2 * `MVPSL` - Mvpsl * `MVPSL2` - Mvpsl2 * `VD` - Dental * `VV` - Vision * `ICHRA` - Ichra * `ICHRA_PREMIUM_PLUS` - Ichra Premium Plus * `ICHRA_REIMBURSEMENT_ONLY` - Ichra Reimbursement Only
  - Allowed values: `EBA`, `VPC`, `VPC_CORE`, `MEC`, `MEC2`, `MEC_PLUS`, `MVP`, `MVP2`, `MVPSL`, `MVPSL2`, `VD`, `VV`, `ICHRA`, `ICHRA_PREMIUM_PLUS`, `ICHRA_REIMBURSEMENT_ONLY`
- `requires_qle_for_reissue` (boolean, required) — Whether a qualifying life event would be required to reissue this enrollment under the product and open-enrollment rule at the time this list was read
- `product_name` (string, required) — Display name of the benefit product
- `employer_name` (string, required) — Name of the employer the enrollment is through
- `cancelled_date` (date, required, nullable) — Earliest applicable coverage boundary (YYYY-MM-DD) when coverage was cancelled before its effective start; null unless the enrollment was cancelled
- `plan_year_coverage_end` (date, required, nullable) — Benefit plan-year coverage end date (YYYY-MM-DD), distinct from this enrollment's coverage_end; null when the plan year is open-ended
- `issued_date` (date, required) — Date the enrollment record was created (YYYY-MM-DD), the value Ops labels Issued on. Present on every row whatever the member answered, and distinct from `coverage_start`. It equals `enrollment_window_start` for a row issued once its open enrollment had already opened, and precedes it for a row issued ahead of open enrollment.
- `enrolled_date` (date, required, nullable) — Date the member enrolled (YYYY-MM-DD); null unless the row is an election
- `answered_at` (datetime, required, nullable) — When the employee enrolled or waived
- `enrollment_window_start` (date, required) — First date the member could answer this enrollment (YYYY-MM-DD). Open enrollment's start date for a row issued before open enrollment opened, otherwise the date the row was issued -- an enrollment is never answerable before it exists, so this is never earlier than `issued_date`.
- `election_status` (enum, required) — Where the member stands: `Enrolled` or `Waived` if they answered, otherwise `Pending` while their enrollment window is open and `Expired` once it has closed. * `Enrolled` - Enrolled * `Waived` - Waived * `Pending` - Pending * `Expired` - Expired
  - Allowed values: `Enrolled`, `Waived`, `Pending`, `Expired`
- `policy_status` (enum, required, nullable) — Where the member's coverage stands: `Coverage Upcoming`, `Coverage Effective`, `Coverage Ended`, or `Cancelled`. Null unless the member enrolled. * `Coverage Upcoming` - Coverage Upcoming * `Coverage Effective` - Coverage Effective * `Coverage Ended` - Coverage Ended * `Cancelled` - Cancelled
  - Allowed values: `Coverage Upcoming`, `Coverage Effective`, `Coverage Ended`, `Cancelled`
- `plan_year_ends_this_month` (boolean, required) — True when today (ET) falls in the final month of the plan year. No new enrollment can start in that month, so it drives Reissue availability on the client.
- `is_within_enrollment_window` (boolean, required) — True when today falls inside the enrollment window this member has to answer in; drives enrollment-action availability on the client.
- `plan_year_ichra_affordability` (enum, required, nullable) — Whether this ICHRA plan year was marked `Affordable` or `Not Affordable` when it was configured. A plan-year setting, not a calculation for this member. Null for non-ICHRA rows and for ICHRA plan years where it has not been set. * `Affordable` - Affordable * `Not Affordable` - Not Affordable
  - Allowed values: `Affordable`, `Not Affordable`
- `carrier_name` (string, optional, nullable) — Insurance carrier name; null when no active carrier period is resolvable
- `plan_name` (string, optional, nullable) — Chosen benefit plan name; null unless the row is an election
- `tier_name` (string, optional, nullable) — Chosen benefit plan tier name (e.g., Employee Only); null unless the row is an election
- `employee_deduction_in_cents` (integer, optional, nullable) — Employee monthly payroll deduction in cents; null unless the row is an election
- `employer_contribution_in_cents` (integer, optional, nullable) — Employer monthly contribution in cents; null unless the row is an election
- `premium_in_cents` (integer, optional, nullable) — Total monthly plan premium in cents; null unless the row is an election
- `coverage_start` (date, optional, nullable) — Coverage window start date (YYYY-MM-DD)
- `coverage_end` (date, optional, nullable) — Coverage window end date (YYYY-MM-DD); null while coverage is open-ended
- `enrollment_window_end` (date, optional, nullable) — Enrollment / open-enrollment window end date (YYYY-MM-DD); null when open-ended
